Writing Workshops for Young Adults

The Crazy 8 Press Team (Robert Greenberger, Aaron Rosenberg, Peter David, Russ Colchamiro, Michael Jan Friedman, Glenn Hauman, Mary Fan, Kelli Fitzpatrick) have developed short (1- hour) writing workshops aimed specifically at teenage aspiring writers. These workshops are open to all teens (12-19 years of age).

How Clothes Make Characters: Intersection of Writing & Cosplay

Writer Beware is the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America's anti-scam committee, and in this workshop we'll discuss ways you can learn to decide the best path for your writing career and how to spot when people may not have your best interests at heart. Basic Self-Defense Workshop

Keith, who has a black belt in Karate, will conduct a self-defense workshop. This workshop is limited to 20 people. There will be a sign-up list at the Convention Registration Desk. (The workshop is free.)

Belly Dancing

Come enjoy an hour of belly dance! The instructor has been dancing for 15 years, teaching for 9 in the Egyptian Cabaret style. We'll learn some basic moves, put them together in a short choreography and just have fun. Now get up and dance! (The workshop is free.)
