Imorptant: If your plans for travelling to Shore Leave this weekend include travel by light rail, please be aware that a sinkhole in downtown Baltimore has closed portions of the light rail system.
There is a shuttle running from Camden Yards to the North Avenue station where you can take light rail to Hunt Valley, but please allow extra travel time.

Look for writers Howard Weinstein, Richard White, Robert Greenberger, Dave Galanter, and Steven H. Wilson doing a panel at 11AM and other activities throughout the day. The event runs from 10AM to 3:30PM
Sci-Fi Saturday is co-sponsored by Baltimore County Public Library and the Star Trek Association of Towson (our parent organization).
The Shore Leave Blood Drive is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 from 9 AM to 2:30 PM. To be eligible to donate at Shore Leave, you may not have given blood after May 18.

Shore Leave takes place every summer at the Hunt Valley Inn, located at 245 Shawan Rd., Hunt Valley, MD 21031

Writing Workshops: Learn how to improve your writing from some of your favorite writers. Past panels have included writing about the non-fictional part of Trek; How to express point of view in your story; The trials and tribulations of being a writer and more.
Stargazing: View the planets, stars and galaxies that are visible from the Baltimore area.
Meet the Pros Party: Join our author guests for Shore Leave's autograph party. Be sure to meet the authors of the latest Pocket Book Trek or SF release.
Game Room: The Shore Leave game room offers many actitivies including Role Playing Games, Collectible Card Games, Miniature War Games, and more!
Photo Ops: Get your photo taken with your favorite stars and get the photos back in time to get them signed without the need to leave the hotel!
Fan Panels: We're always looking for ideas for fan-led panels and people to lead them. If you have suggestions for a panel, please Let us Know.

We are saddened by the passing of actress Barbara March. March was best known by her fans for her portrayal of Lursa in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and the movie Generations. In 1999, she was a guest at Shore Leave 21.
Barbara March passed away on August 11, 2019 at the age of 65.
We are saddened by the passing of our friend and long-time committee member, Loretta Shaneybrook. Loretta was a constant presence at Shore Leave, working behind the scenes for decades. If you ever volunteered at the convention, you likely remember Loretta as the lady on the scooter, bringing snacks and water to the people working at the event. She is survived by her husband, Randy Bruner.
Loretta Shaneybrook passed away on June 12, 2019.
We are saddened by the passing of artist Keith Birdsong. Birdsong made a name for himself with his photo-realistic paintings, many of which graced the covers of Star Trek novels. In 1992, he was a guest at Shore Leave 14 and again in 1996 at Shore Leave 18.
Keith Birdsong passed away on June 4, 2019 at the age of 59.
We are saddened by the passing of of actor Carmen Argenziano. Argenziano was known to his fans for a variety of roles ranging from The Godfather: Part II, to Don Quixote, to appearances on Castle, and of course, Jacob Carter on Stargate SG1. In 2006, he was a guest at Shore Leave 28.
Carmen Argenziano passed away on February 10, 2019 at the age of 75.
We are saddened by the passing of of actor W. Morgan Sheppard. Sheppard was known to his fans for his numerous credits including Max Headroom's Blank Reg, Seaquest's Professor, and numerous appearances in Star Trek. In 2008 he was a guest at Shore Leave 30.
W. Morgan Sheppard passed away on January 6, 2019 at the age of 86.
We are saddened to note the passing of Celeste Yarnall. She was known to her fans for roles in Land of the Giants, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild Wild West, and, of course, Yeoman Martha Landon in the classic Star Trek episode, "The Apple." In 2001, Celeste Yarnall was a guest at Shore Leave 21.
Celeste Yarnall passed away on October 7, 2018 at the age of 74.
We are saddened by the passing of astronaut Richard Searfoss. He was a crewmember on Space Shuttle flights STS-58 (1993), STS-76 (1996) and STS-90 (1998), spending 39 days, 3 hours and 18 minutes in space. In 2002, Richard Searfoss was a guest at Shore Leave 24.
Richard Searfoss passed away on September 29, 2018 at the age of 62.
