Kim I Headlee

Kim Iverson Headlee has been a critically acclaimed, award-winning novelist since 1999 (Dawnflight first edition, Sonnet Books, Simon & Schuster), and she has been studying the Arthurian legends for half a century. Dawnflight, starring the most likeable Guinevere in all of Arthurian literature, was acknowledged as "compelling" by The Dallas Morning News (1999) and "intense" by USA Today (2013, for the second edition). Kim's most recent full-length fiction release, King Arthur's Sister in Washington's Court by Mark Twain as channeled by Kim Iverson Headlee, was hailed as "solidly entertaining" by Publishers Weekly. Its hardcover edition won the 2016 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Gold Medal for Science Fiction and Fantasy. Another of her novels that was first published in New York (Liberty, writing as Kimberly Iverson, HQN Books, Harlequin, 2006), featuring a female gladiator in ancient Rome, won the international 2015 BooksGoSocial Best Book award for its second edition. Kim's nonfiction book of publishing and marketing advice for authors, The Business of Writing, and its associated workshops has been well received at libraries, colleges, book fairs, and conventions across the mid-Atlantic region.
